Friday morning was the annual Asphalt Cowboys Pancake breakfast, downtown. They served 10,000+ breakfasts! This happens every year during Rodeo week.
Here's the pancake assembly line.
Saturday was a fishing tournament for Guy's office, at Shasta Lake. It was in honor of Greg Cash, a co-worker who died last year from cancer. To say he was an avid fisherman is quite an understatement!
Guy heading out with George.
The big catch (Guy's fish).
Back at the post-tournament picnic, the little ones were quite interested in the catch.
The proud fisherman and his brother - 2nd place.
Guy caught the biggest one (yet again - he seems to always get first place).
Sunday, Guy and I toodled out on the motos, heading up the back roads to Lassen National Park for a hike.
Guy enjoying the scenery.
We even rode on some dirt roads - fun!
The view from Shingletown Ridge Road back to the west, across the valley to the Coast Range.
The biggest patch of yerba santa we'd ever seen.
The meadow near Viola. This is always a pretty spot, although the wildflowers hadn't yet arrived up here.
We hiked around Manzanita Lake at the Park. Lots of good snags.
Looking across Manzanita Lake towards Lassen Peak.
A nice scene at the lake. It reminded me of Norway. : )
