It's not quite spring here in Mendocino, but it is the season for rhododendrons! The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens has quite the rhodo display.

Back at Happy Lane, Guy is not so happy. Gophers got six of his apple trees. Nasty little critters!
Those nasty gophers got their comeuppance, though. We saw this heron trying to choke one down when we returned home.
